No one loves
Dana Linn Bailey more than our awesome 6 Pack fans. We wanted to create a unique way to combine the two, and we did it in our DLB Contest! 5 customers who made purchases during
DLB week using her discount code received 15% off their order AND the chance to have their gym bag autographed by DLB herself. Today we're presenting our Q & A with 2 of the winners: Nicole Larcenaire & Samantha Klopack. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone for entering!
The path towards fitness greatness is not easy, but that in turn makes it all the more rewarding. We know how much DLB serves as a massive source of inspiration and motivation for her fans, so we wanted to get a little bit of insight into our winner's thoughts on her, their own fitness goals, and more.
Meet Nicole.
Nicole is a 44-year-old mother from Utah. Formerly a Certified Fraud Examiner and now a stay-at-home mom, Nicole's love of fitness and nutrition lead her to 6 Pack through Nicole Wilkins. Staying on her meal plan is important to her when traveling away from home even for a few hours, as she refuses to be at the mercy of whatever food is available. Naturally, one of our gym bags was just the right fit.
She also loves DLB, so her initial reaction upon winning, according to her daughter, was that "she was jumping and screaming like a little girl." Nicole adds, "Absolutely the truth. Definitely a day to remember for me!"
Are you a big fan of DLB?
I am a HUGE fan. I have so much respect for her dedication, enthusiasm, and confidence! She is such an inspiration. Having been married 21 years, I also have a ton of respect for Rob and all the support he gives Dana and the sleepless nights he spends holding her clothing brand,
Flag No Fail, to such high standards. I love everything I have gotten so far. These are by far my favorite workout clothes! What an amazing couple!
Do you food prep? Are you on a specific diet?
I food prep every week. I cook all of my proteins for the week and cut/prepare all my veggies. I weigh/measure all my foods and log them daily. I have specific macros I follow and choose my foods accordingly. I mainly eat chicken and turkey, veggies, some fruit, and LOTS of egg whites.
How do you train?
I weight train 6-7 days a week and hit the gym twice a day a couple of times a week according to how much cardio I have already gotten in for the day. I also train with my trainer once a week.
What are your long-term fitness goals?
My main goal is to be as healthy as possible for the long-term and help my family accomplish the same. I constantly read, and am trying to become as knowledgeable as possible to make sure we all make healthy decisions, especially when it comes to our diet. All of that aside, I would
LOVE to have shoulders like DLB!
Meet Samantha.
Samantha Klopack is a 21-year-old customer service rep who loves competing in challenging 5Ks like the ROC Race in Chicago. Inspired by her experience at the ROC (which stands for Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge), she has recently applied for the show Wipeout in hopes to further test her athleticism in a different way than traditional obstacle course challenges.
Her boyfriend has an old school 6 Pack bag, and together they have used their gym bags to help them prep for competition. As a huge DLB fan ("Big is an understatement," she told us), Samantha was incredibly excited to win an autographed bag!
Are you a big fan of DLB?
She is my idol and motivation. At one point, I was actually "The Crazy Fan" and happened to find the gym she was working out at one night while I was on a road trip to Maryland. I saw her working out and tried to nonchalantly walk past as if I didn't notice so I wouldn't make a first impression that came off as too obsessive. But she actually came up to me and started a conversation and took pictures. I was in awe seeing her dedication to that gym and was so inspired. I am so excited for the DLB camp this August!
Do you food prep? Are you on a specific diet?
I eat prepped food but don't actually do the prepping myself. Due to some bad experiences in the past with some non-edible cooking attempts, my boyfriend has now taken over. He has prepped all our meals for the past two and a half years. Diets vary on the coach. Currently I'm eating 5 meals a day, 4 of which have carbs. I love salmon and asparagus (when the boyfriend cooks it, of course). I'm just enjoying the flexibility in the off-season right now before prep begins in January. Who knows the diet criteria then?
How do you train?
6x a week. That one day off is critical for recovery and rest. Sometimes we may even take 2 days off.
What are your long-term fitness goals?
To open my own gym. I would love to buy an old barn and convert it into a gym. My slogan would be "Where the animals train." Of course, if someone takes my idea after this blog post I would be crushed!
Congratulations again to Nicole and Samantha, as well as Derek, Stephanie, and Robert! Thanks again to everyone for entering, and make sure to check back for our next 6 Pack Athlete promotion€¦ who knows what we'll give away next?!
